NOW SHOWING!

In 2010 over 2000 people of Willoughby had their portrait taken for the Faces of Willoughby photographic mural. These portraits have been digitally compiled to form six large portraits celebrating who we are today.

Two of the light boxes show people over 65 years of age, two show people under 18 years and the larger, centre two show everybody together.

The exhibition also includes a photographic mural reflecting the history of the community.  Black and white photographs of residents past and present form the background.  The imagery is pixillated so as you step back from the wall, the past will come into focus.  As you step forward the small coloured prints of people today, who form the faces of Willoughby, come into focus.  The mural also includes mirror sections so anyone at any time in the present and future can become a part of the wall.

The mural is now officially open at The Concourse and is located on the ground floor of The Concourse near the Anderson Street entrance.

Participants can see their portrait on the wall.
