Eight of the most promising young singers from Australia and New Zealand will perform accompanied by the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Dr Nicholas Milton, in the Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship Final.
One of the most coveted awards for young classical singers, it has launched the careers of countless Australian opera singers since it began in 1933. This event launched the career of Dame Joan Sutherland in 1949, and 84 years on, its winners and finalists continue to enrich world opera.
This feast of opera and music is an event no genuine opera lover should miss.=
