Acclaimed flautist, Jane Rutter, curates Live at Lunch bringing together internationally and nationally renowned musicians. For the 2024 theme Jane is inspired by Heroic Women, presenting an incredible twelfth series.


Rutter draws music and inspiration from historic female figures like Queen Elizabeth I, Marie Curie, Josephine Baker, Aretha Franklin and Audrey Hepburn. She also weaves tales and legends with mythic figures Scheherazade, Carmen, Roxy Hart, Titania the Fairy Queen and Susanna from The Marriage of Figaro.


Jane Rutter is one of the most outstanding musical personalities in Australia. Knighted by France (Chevalier des Arts et Lettres) in recognition of her services to music and the arts, her career is devoted to the development of classical and fine music across many musical genres, providing accessibility of high-quality music to a broader public.
