Hummingsong Choirs’ KALEIDOSCOPE concerts will feature 14 choirs from Sydney, Newcastle, and the Central Coast. They will combine with musicians from The Hummingsong Friends Jazz Trio for 3 beautiful shows.
“Kaleidoscope” will offer a treasure trove of songs in many different styles, featuring colourful arrangements from across the globe. This concert will be certain to stir emotions and have something for everyone.
You can expect to hear anything from the magnificent sacred choral sounds of “Veni, Veni, Emmanuel”, to Freddie Mercury’s soulful rock anthem “Somebody to Love”. Come and hear the popular English ballad “Scarborough Fair” sung as you’ve never heard it before and get your toes tapping to songs that will uplift and inspire you.
Founder and Artistic Director, Anna Humberstone, has created a network of 16 Hummingsong Choirs who sing, laugh, and grow together. Hummingsong is committed to raising awareness and support for services that support women and children escaping domestic violence, raising over $300,000 predominantly through their highly regarded fundraising raffles which run concurrently with their annual concerts.
