This is an ensemble of virtuoso principal musicians, mainly drawn from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and joined by virtuoso freelancers. Their chamber concerts highlight the musicianship of first-rate performers enhanced by the rapport of friends. Again they bring us an unusual programme of diverse works from the lyricism of Schubert’s songs and the Classical luminosity of Mozart to the drama of 19th century Dvořák. Each piece offers a unique musical journey: Schubert's work blends voice and clarinet in a poignant dialogue, Mozart's quintet K 581 shows the clarinet's lyrical beauty within a rich tapestry of strings and Dvořák's piano quintet Opus 81 bursts with Bohemian flair and intricate harmonies.
